- Each morning and night you stand in front of the bathroom mirror for several minutes as you brush your teeth. Make use of those minutes and do some Thigh Squats to tone your upper legs and butt. Stand facing the mirror with your feet shoulder-width apart.Bend your knees and slowly lower your body down as if you were about to sit down. Keep your back straight and your knees directly over your feet. Slowly return to the standing position. You can do approximately 15 Thigh Squats during each brushing session!
- It is time to put your bath towel to more use! Stand up straight and place your hands on the lengthwise edges of your towel. Hold the towel above your head and pull on each end of the towel. As you pull, bend your torso side to side like a pendulum. Your head, torso, and arms should be moving in unison. Do not bend front or backward. This will im- prove posture, strengthen your core, and tighten your oblique.
- Do 20 reps side to side.
- Lay a towel on the floor (it will stand in for a mat). Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you. Hold another full-size towel in your hands and loop it around the ball of your right foot (let your left leg relax). This creates resistance for your arms. Gently pull the towel with both hands, stretching the balls of your feet back and lengthening your calves.
- Repeat on the left foot.
- While lying in the bath tub, raise one leg at a time above the water, hold for a few seconds and lower the leg down. Alternate legs. You can do 20 reps to strengthen your thighs and your abdominal.
